Course description

Guides: The Truth is a five-week introductory course presented by Spirit Medium David Traynor exploring Spirit Guides, Inspirers and the roles traditionally associated with them.

Designed for beginners, the course explores what Spirit Guides are believed to be, the concept of a principal Guide or Gate-Keeper and how different Guides may be associated with different aspects of spiritual development.

David will also explore some of the misconceptions surrounding Guides and encourage you to develop your own understanding rather than simply accepting everything you may previously have heard or read.

Through guided meditation, discussion and practical exercises, you will have opportunities to explore your own sense of spiritual guidance, recognise personal impressions and consider how inspiration may appear within everyday life.

No previous psychic or mediumistic experience is required. All you need is curiosity, an open mind and a willingness to explore.

Yes. No previous psychic, mediumistic or meditation experience is required.

No. The course is open to anyone interested in learning about Spirit Guides, Inspirers and spiritual development.

Within many spiritual and mediumistic traditions, a Spirit Guide is understood as a spiritual presence associated with guidance, inspiration or personal development. Beliefs and interpretations vary considerably.

Within some mediumistic traditions, Gate-Keeper is a term used for a principal Guide believed to have a particular role within a medium's spiritual development or work

Not necessarily. Different traditions distinguish between Angels, Spirit Guides and Inspirers in different ways. David will explore these distinctions during the course.

You will have opportunities to explore your own impressions through meditation and practical exercises. Individual experiences differ, so identifying a particular Guide or receiving a specific name cannot be guaranteed.

That's completely fine. Spiritual and meditative experiences are highly individual. Some people describe imagery, while others notice thoughts, feelings, sensations or nothing particularly unusual at all.

Some spiritual traditions describe individuals as having a principal Guide alongside other Guides or Inspirers associated with different aspects of their development. This is explored during the course.

This is one of the reasons reflection and discernment form part of the course. David encourages students to explore their experiences without feeling pressured to immediately label every thought, image or sensation as spiritual communication.

Guides: The Truth is delivered live online using Zoom, with one session each week for five weeks.

Regular attendance is recommended because each week builds upon previous learning. Where playback support is available, this may help you catch up.

Students who complete the course and successfully answer the required course questions can receive a certificate of completion.
