Course description

Palmistry is a five-week course presented by Spirit Medium David Traynor exploring the traditional art of reading and interpreting the hands.

From the shape of the hand and fingers to the major lines, mounts and distinctive markings found on the palm, you will discover how different features have traditionally been interpreted within palmistry and how they can be brought together during a reading.

Rather than looking at one line in isolation, David will guide you through observing the whole hand, recognising patterns and developing your confidence in interpreting what you see.

Practical exercises will give you opportunities to examine your own hands and those of others, compare different characteristics and begin bringing individual observations together into a structured reading.

No previous knowledge of palmistry is required, making this an accessible introduction for anyone curious about what our hands have traditionally been believed to reveal.

  • How to begin observing a hand before interpreting individual features.

Introduction to Palmistry

Begin by exploring the history and foundations of palmistry and learn how to observe the hand as a whole. Discover how hand shape, proportions, fingers and thumbs have traditionally contributed to an initial interpretation.
  • Understanding the Hands & Foundations of Palmistry

The Major Lines

Discover the principal lines used within palmistry and explore their traditional meanings. Learn how variations in their shape, depth, length and position may contribute to an interpretation.
  • Reading the Heart, Head & Life Lines

Mounts, Minor Lines & Markings

Look beyond the three major lines and explore the mounts, additional lines and distinctive markings that may appear across the palm. Begin combining these observations with what you have already learnt.
  • Discovering Mounts, Markings & Additional Lines

Bringing the Hand Together

Move beyond interpreting individual features and begin looking at the relationship between different characteristics of the hand. Explore how observations can support, contrast with or add further detail to one another.
  • Interpreting the Complete Hand

Delivering a Palm Reading

Bring together the techniques explored throughout the course and practise turning your observations into a coherent reading. Focus on structure, confidence, responsible interpretation and communicating what you observe clearly.
  • Creating & Delivering a Complete Palm Reading

No. The course introduces the foundations before gradually progressing towards interpreting and delivering a complete palm reading.

No. Palmistry involves learning to observe and traditionally interpret physical features of the hands. You do not need previous psychic or mediumistic experience to begin.

Palmists use different approaches to interpreting the dominant and non-dominant hands. David will explore how the hands can be compared and considered as part of the overall reading.

Yes. The course explores the major lines alongside additional lines, mounts and markings and how these have traditionally been interpreted within palmistry.

No. Despite a common misconception, the length of the Life Line should not simply be treated as a prediction of lifespan. The course will explore responsible interpretation rather than making alarming or unsupported predictions.

Practical observation forms an important part of learning palmistry. Where appropriate, you will be encouraged to practise the techniques explored during the course.

The appearance of the hands and some finer lines can change over time. Palmistry traditions differ in how significance is attributed to these changes.

The course provides foundations for developing your palmistry skills. Professional practice requires continued experience, confidence and an understanding of the responsibilities involved when reading for other people.

Palmistry is delivered live online using Zoom, with one session each week for five weeks.

Each week builds upon previous learning, so regular attendance is recommended. Where playback support is available, this may help you catch up before the following session.

Students who complete the course and successfully answer the required course questions can receive a certificate of completion.
