Course description

SKRY is a five-week intermediate development course exploring the traditional practices of scrying, divination and remote viewing.

For centuries, people have used reflective surfaces, crystal balls, water and other techniques in attempts to perceive information beyond ordinary observation. From historical figures such as John Dee and Nostradamus to contemporary spiritual practice, scrying has taken many different forms.

Throughout SKRY, David introduces the history behind these practices before guiding you through practical techniques involving water, mirrors, crystal balls and dowsing. You will explore how imagery, symbols, thoughts and intuitive impressions can arise and how these experiences may be interpreted without forcing a particular result.

The course also introduces remote viewing and exercises designed to develop observation, concentration and intuitive awareness.

SKRY is intended for students with existing psychic or mediumistic foundations.

The World of Scrying

Begin by exploring what scrying actually means and how people have attempted to use it throughout history. David introduces notable historical practitioners, different forms of scrying and the role concentration, observation and intuition play within the practice.
  • Understanding Scrying, History & Intuitive Perception

Water, Mirrors & Reflective Scrying

Explore some of the oldest forms of scrying using water, mirrors and reflective surfaces. Through practical exercises, observe how imagery, movement, thoughts and impressions may emerge while learning not to force an interpretation.
  • Exploring Water & Mirror Scrying

Reading the Crystal Ball

Discover the crystal ball beyond its familiar image in popular culture. Explore traditional crystal-gazing techniques, preparing your environment, focusing your attention and interpreting colours, shapes, imagery and personal impressions.
  • Crystal Gazing & Interpreting What You Observe

Dowsing & Remote Viewing

Explore two different approaches to seeking information beyond ordinary observation. David introduces traditional dowsing techniques before exploring the principles of remote viewing and practical exercises designed to test observation and intuitive impressions.

Developing Your Scrying Practice

Bring together the techniques explored throughout SKRY and compare how you respond to different methods. Focus on interpretation, recording results, recognising personal strengths and developing a responsible approach to continuing your practice.
  • Bringing Your Scrying Skills Together

SKRY is primarily designed for students who already have some experience of meditation and psychic or mediumistic development. First Connections or equivalent experience provides a useful foundation.

Scrying is a traditional divination practice involving focused observation of an object or surface, such as a crystal ball, mirror or water, while interpreting imagery or impressions that may arise.

A crystal ball is useful for the crystal-gazing part of the course. If you do not already own one, David can advise what you will need before the relevant session.

SKRY explores practices that have historically been used for divination and attempts to perceive future or otherwise hidden information. Particular predictions or results cannot be guaranteed.

Like other forms of intuitive practice, crystal gazing can require patience and practice. The course introduces techniques for observing and interpreting impressions rather than expecting an immediate particular experience.

Mirror scrying is a traditional practice involving sustained observation of a reflective surface while paying attention to imagery, patterns and personal impressions.

Dowsing traditionally involves using a tool such as a pendulum or rods in an attempt to obtain information or locate something that is not immediately apparent.

Remote viewing refers to attempts to describe information about a target that is hidden or distant without using ordinary sensory access. SKRY explores the concept and provides practical exercises through which students can investigate it for themselves.

Yes. Practical exploration is an important part of SKRY, and students will have opportunities to record impressions before comparing them with information revealed afterwards.

No. You do not need to work professionally, although some previous psychic or mediumistic development is recommended.

SKRY is delivered live online using Zoom, with one session each week for five weeks.

Regular attendance is recommended because each week develops a different aspect of the subject. Where playback support is available, this may help you catch up.

Students who complete the course and successfully answer the required course questions can receive a certificate of completion.
